Logos And Uniforms

The panther's logo consists of the head of a panther outlined in blue. It is shaped to represent the combined borders of South and North Carolina. The color of their helmet is usually silver but in 2003, they changed the color of their helmet resembling to a more metallic shade. The team usually wears white pants with their white jersey and silver pants with their black jerseys. Both the white and the black jersey have a blue stripes over the shoulder. In 2002, the team introduced a jersey that is color blue with black shoulder stripes.

Like any other NFL teams located in temperate climates, the Carolina panthers traditionally wore their white jerseys at home in the first half of the season, forcing all their opponents to wear their black jerseys under the warm autumn in charlotte. The changes in the temperature in these regions are between winter and summer and are generally mild rather than cold or hot. During the preseason, the panther usually wear their white jerseys at home.


In 2003, the panther's uniforms prompted a lawsuit by the Oakland Raiders. They claimed that the panthers and the NFL had infringed the key trademark elements of the raider's brand, specifically with the black and the silver colors. In the same suit, the Oakland Raiders challenged the Buccaneers in 1997 for uniform design that includes the pirate's logo. The Oakland Raiders wanted the Buccaneers and the panthers to be banned for wearing their uniforms in California while they were playing. However, since the lawsuit was filed in the state California court, the lawsuit was tossed because only federal could have the jurisdiction over the intellectual Property issues. The Oakland Riders have to appeal the rulings.

The Carolina Panthers have played an outstanding ten post-season games, wearing an all white jerseys but one. Two of those games were against the Dallas Cowboys. The cowboys wore their unlucky road navy blue jerseys. The cowboys are the one of the four teams that usually wears their white uniforms at home.

The Carolina Panthers mascot has been a tradition for Carolina football team; it emphasizes the speed and the power of the panther. The Black Panther mascot symbolizes the heart of the football team of Carolina. The jersey color emphasizes the color of a glossy coat of a panther and the stealth they often utilize. The Carolinas helmets represent the snarling of a panther.

Carolina Panthers uses different kinds of logos. They have their primary logo that features the head of the panther. They also have an alternate Logos that features different kinds of panther logos, script logos, Carolina panther's helmet logos, panther's anniversary logos, panther's memorial logos, event logos, miscellaneous logos, different home uniforms, panthers' road uniforms and panther's alternate uniforms. Carolina panthers on their games and on some other occasions usually wear these uniforms
